Financial Analyst – Cybersecurity & Digital Risk Management (CDRM)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst – Cybersecurity & Digital Risk Management (CDRM) to drive financial governance, budget accountability, and operational excellence across a growing cybersecurity organization. This role serves as a key partner to leadership, Finance, Procurement, and business stakeholders, ensuring financial commitments are accurately managed, risks are identified proactively, and spending remains aligned with strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and execution-focused, with a strong background in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and vendor spend management. Key Responsibilities

Budget Governance

• Manage and maintain budget governance processes, reporting frameworks, and financial review cadences.
• Ensure accountability for budget ownership, financial commitments, and spending decisions.
• Establish and maintain clear escalation paths for budget risks and funding challenges.
• Drive consistency and transparency in budget planning, tracking, and reporting across the organization.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Monitor budget versus actuals, forecast accuracy, accruals, and key financial metrics.
• Perform variance analysis and identify emerging risks, funding gaps, and cost overruns.
• Support quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, long-term planning activities, and funding requests.
• Consolidate and analyze spend data to improve forecasting accuracy and support strategic decision-making.

Vendor & Program Financial Management

• Track vendor spend against Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders, contracts, and approved budgets.
• Monitor financial performance across multiple programs and initiatives.
• Partner with stakeholders to address spending variances and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Manage financial risks, dependencies, and reporting obligations across a portfolio of projects.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters related to assigned programs and vendor engagements.
• Build strong relationships with leadership, Finance, Procurement, and delivery teams.
• Provide executive-ready financial updates and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
• Facilitate collaboration and accountability across cross-functional teams.

Financial Operations

• Coordinate the timely processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and accruals.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial controls, reporting processes, and budget management practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Program Finance, Business Operations, or related financial roles.
• Experience supporting technology, IT, cybersecurity, or digital transformation organizations preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets, forecasts, vendor spending, SOWs, purchase orders, and invoice lifecycles.
• Experience working within large, matrixed organizations and collaborating across multiple stakeholder groups.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, accrual accounting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, financial modeling, and reporting.
• Experience with ERP and financial management systems such as SAP, Ariba, or similar platforms.
• Experience using reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to leadership.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders, drive accountability, and manage competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting cybersecurity, information security, or technology-focused business functions.
• Background in vendor financial management and contract governance.
• Experience leading process improvement initiatives related to budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting.
