Senior Financial Analyst, Amazon Grocery – AI-Native FP&A, WW Grocery Stores FP&A

We seek to increase efficiency and profitability by analyzing financial and operational results/plans to better understand business performance and communicate it to senior management.We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support planning cycles and strategic projects. This role supports the senior leadership team within Amazon grocery business and will own delivering key planning reports, leading periodic reviews, providing valuable insight for decision-making, and recommending cost-saving opportunities. The role also offers the opportunity to think creatively about how we work—automating and standardizing processes, building solutions that leverage AI, and partnering with tech teams to enhance our reporting tools and data infrastructure. This role partners regularly with a broad range of finance and business leaders across our organization, often at some of the most senior levels within the company. The leader must be effective at working through teams to consolidate and articulate the overall drivers of current and future performance as well as providing timely and accurate insight to Amazon senior leadership. That means the leader is a collaborator and good at stitching together multiple inputs to tell an accurate and insightful story of what’s happening. The leader needs to be entrepreneurial, wear many hats, and work in a highly collaborative environment. Excellent analytical and verbal/written communication skills are critical in this role. The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: they are self-starters, analytical, collaborate and influence business/finance partners, support thoughtful decision-making in a rapidly-evolving and ambiguous environment, and think long-term.Key job responsibilities- Support planning cycles (e.g., rest-of-year, 1-year, 3-year, 10-year), including preparing financials reports and P&Ls, conducting in-depth analysis, and collecting key insight from finance partners. - Drive strategic projects across our Amazon Grocery banners.- Provide valuable insight for decision-making and financial planning. - Analyze and recommend cost-saving opportunities. - Support WW Amazon Stores Finance (IPAT) and Corporate FP&A to communicate grocery plans and performance to Amazon senior leadership and Board of Directors.- Continue developing the team’s vision, establish a positive team culture, and develop top talent.- 3+ years of finance, accounting, or related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence- 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience- 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- MBA, or CPA- Knowledge of Tableau- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
