AMA is looking for two Senior Financial Analysts to join our Finance teams. Reporting to the Controller or Director, Finance, you’ll deliver rigorous analysis that informs decision-making. How You’ll Make an Impact You will embody flexibility and adaptability, as you leverage your skills to support the teams where needed, which may include: • Analyze and evaluate complex financial information, processes, and alternatives to produce recommendations and reporting for senior management and the board. • Oversee preparation of financial reports and financial statements, ensuring relevance, accuracy, IFRS compliance and appropriate insight for stakeholders. • Support the annual budgeting process, including creating operating expense and salary worksheets, consolidating submissions, and supporting business areas throughout. • Research, analyze, and evaluate new and existing financial standards, guidelines and requirements, assessing organizational impact and coordinating implementation of recommendations. • Lead or support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives as project manager or subject matter expert, translating strategy into business requirements and ensuring delivery on scope and schedule. • Working with financial models to deliver insights, including supporting strong capital management and liquidity practices, and providing financial forecasts. • Oversee the creation and maintenance of financial processes, policies, and procedures. What You Bring to the Table • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Business. • Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA). • Seven years of progressive experience in a finance or accounting role, with increasing levels of responsibility.
