Senior AI Risk Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior AI Risk Analyst to help build, operate, and continuously improve an enterprise AI governance program. This role will be responsible for assessing AI-related risks, enabling responsible AI adoption, and ensuring compliance with governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in AI risk management with the ability to design scalable governance processes. You will collaborate closely with legal, security, procurement, data, engineering, and business teams to support the deployment of AI solutions while managing organizational risk.
Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end AI risk assessments for AI/ML, Generative AI, and agentic AI use cases, delivering risk ratings and mitigation recommendations.
- Operate and enhance AI governance workflows, including intake processes, risk scoring, evidence management, and reporting.
- Apply risk classification methodologies to AI applications, models, platforms, and integrations.
- Partner with legal, procurement, and risk stakeholders to evaluate third-party AI solutions, contracts, and associated risks.
- Design and scale governance processes, including intake, triage, escalation, remediation tracking, and periodic reassessments.
- Prepare governance metrics, risk summaries, and executive-ready presentations for leadership and governance committees.
- Monitor evolving AI regulations, industry standards, and best practices, translating requirements into operational controls and governance updates.
- Work closely with AI engineering, data governance, and business teams to embed risk management and compliance controls throughout the AI lifecycle.
- Support AI-related cyber-risk, operational risk, and incident review activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of AI governance programs, frameworks, and tooling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in technology risk, information security, compliance, governance, or related disciplines.
- 2+ years of experience focused on AI, machine learning, or emerging technology risk management.
- Experience implementing, administering, or improving AI governance platforms and risk assessment workflows.
- Demonstrated experience building AI governance processes, risk frameworks, assessment methodologies, or operational controls.
- Knowledge of industry AI governance frameworks and standards such as NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), ISO/IEC 42001, or similar.
- Experience evaluating third-party technology vendors and associated risks, including data protection, intellectual property, compliance, and audit considerations.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assessing risks associated with Generative AI, agentic AI, and AI integration architectures.
- Professional certifications such as AIGP, CIPP/AI, CISA, CRISC, or related credentials.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale AI governance or responsible AI programs.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and emerging AI legislation.
- Experience working in highly regulated or large enterprise environments.
