Senior Accountant
Unleashed Brands • Bedford, TX • Full Time
Posted on Wed, Jul 15, 2026
We are seeking a highly technical, energized Senior Accountant to support the full-cycle accounting for our multi-branded, private equity-backed platform. As we double in size annually, the "Office of the CFO" requires a leader who possesses uncompromising integrity, professional maturity, and a high degree of candor. The successful candidate will be a hands-on professional who ensures deadlines for the month-end financial close are met timely and accurately.
Beyond technical proficiency, we look for "culture carriers"—individuals who maintain a championship-team mentality, stay "mentally present" in every interaction, and proactively protect the integrity of our financial data and team environment. We operate with low ego and high coachability; the ideal candidate welcomes constructive feedback, actively rejects defensive or rigid mindsets, and approaches problem-solving with a calm, team-first demeanor. We seek a collaborative professional who respects leadership directives, alignment, and established chain of command, while actively stepping outside of their immediate desk silo to leverage operational downtime and support teammates during high-volume periods.
Responsibilites- Financial Integrity: Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Full-Cycle Execution: Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue (royalty billing/collections), and expense entries; maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by resolving discrepancies.
- Strategic Variance Analysis: Performs monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position variance analyses; possesses intimate knowledge of various entities to explain or correct discrepancies.
- Proactive Initiative & Team Cross-Support: Operates with a high degree of cross-functional curiosity; refuses to operate "in a bubble." During operational lulls or after personal deadlines are met, actively raises their hand for additional corporate
- initiatives, process improvements, or cross-training opportunities, ensuring total team alignment and operational resilience.
- Proactive Communication: Maintains a standard of radical transparency with leadership; identifies potential bottlenecks or risks to the Close timeline and communicates them proactively rather than reactively.
- Team Presence & Energy: Actively engages in daily stand-ups and collaborative sessions; contributes to a high-performance floor culture by remaining solution-oriented and professional even during high-pressure cycles. Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and composure; approaches procedural updates and leadership directives with a receptive, collaborative attitude rather than a resistive or defensive posture.
- Operational Agility: Takes initiative as a self-starter to meet multiple deadlines in stressful situations; proactively offers assistance to cross-functional peers during peak workloads, makes time for unplanned assignments, and adapts quickly to changing priorities under the PE-sponsor model.
- Policy Compliance: Follows all company policies and procedures, serving as a model for Unleashed’s Core Values and maintaining strict confidentiality.
