About the Role: RGA Korea is looking for a US GAAP Accountant to join its Finance & Accounting team in Seoul. This role supports US GAAP financial reporting and analysis across the monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, working closely with Valuation, Admin, Sales, and Pricing teams. The position offers the opportunity to build deep expertise in reinsurance accounting within a global finance organization. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP financial results, including premium and expense variance analysis Support financial close processes and treaty-level reporting for the reinsurance business Prepare quarterly management reporting packages and finance memos for senior stakeholders Partner cross-functionally with Valuation, Admin, Sales, and Pricing teams on treaty, new business, and financial analysis Maintain and enhance analytical reporting tools and dashboards to track business trends Support the annual budgeting, planning, and forecasting process Perform and document SOX controls; support internal and external audit processes Contribute to other finance projects and initiatives as they arise Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred Experience in US GAAP accounting, ideally within (re)insurance or financial services Familiarity with reinsurance treaty structures or financial analysis concepts is a plus Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI, OneStream, or similar reporting/EPM tools preferred Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Experience with SOX controls and audit support preferred English communication skills required #LI-JL1 What you can expect from RGA: Gain valuable knowledge from and experience with diverse, caring colleagues around the world.
