Senior Accountant

Oxford Solutions is working with a healthcare organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a remote contract-to-hire opportunity. This role will support financial reporting, accounting operations, reconciliations, and analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates may work remotely anywhere in the U.S.; Central Time Zone availability is highly preferred. This position requires someone who has demonstrated success working remotely and can maintain a dedicated professional workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
• Investigate account variances and resolve discrepancies
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Develop and maintain Excel-based reports and financial models
• Assist with audit requests and ensure accurate financial documentation
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and business teams in a remote environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• CPA required
• 7+ years of accounting experience
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong financial analysis and reporting skills
• Previous experience successfully working in a fully remote environment
• Dedicated home office/workspace with reliable internet and the ability to participate in video meetings
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
• Experience with advanced Excel functions and financial modeling preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to work independently
