You are a multi-tasker and are responsible for managing overall hotel room inventory and coordinating the day-to-day operation in support of the Front Office leadership team! As a Rooms Controller, you will ensure guests' requests are met in advance and their preferences are honored by pre-blocking special requests and managing overall inventory.

What you will be doing:

• Conducting Pre-Keys
• Coordinating with Housekeeping, Engineering and Front Office to ensure all hotel inventory is available to maximize revenue
• Review ALL Membership profiles to ensure all guest preferences are met
• Reviewing reservations made same-day to ensure all benefits, welcome amenities and preferences are actioned and communicated
• Managing room inventory, room readiness and balancing room inventory
• Reviewing the “Room Diary” to ensure rooms types are balanced to maximize revenue and upsells
• Coordinating and assigning airlines based on contracted room types
• Attends and reviews weekly resumes to ensure front office team is set up for success
• Manages the front office infographic board for effective communication
• Must be able to perform the duties of Front Desk Agent, if needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous front office experience required
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written), second language an asset
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications and Opera an asset
• Must be organized with strong attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times

Physical Demands

This position requires:

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
