Responsibilities
A Day in the Life of a Revenue Accountant:
As a Revenue Accountant for Liberty Military Housing, you will be responsible for multiple accounting processes to include various tasks such as analyzing delinquency reporting, insurance accounting, revenue financial review, and other reconciliations as assigned. Your role requires accuracy, the ability to work efficiently and effectively, and the ability to deliver on our mission of providing exemplary service in accordance with Liberty Military Housing’s quality customer satisfaction standards.
Your Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Providing analysis and feedback on monthly delinquency reporting for assigned districts nationwide.
- Analyze delinquent balances for past resident accounts and communicate findings to the Customer Care Department.
- Maintain insurance related accounting including but not limited to general ledger activity and resident ledger activity.
- Track expenses related to insurance claim damages and ensure accurate coding.
- Monitor balances on the national subrogation log and transfer balances to resident accounts.
- Complete daily and monthly reconciliations and account analyses as assigned.
- Review project company revenue financials and reconcile discrepancies. Perform other related duties including ad hoc reporting and projects as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
What You Need for Success:
- Four years accounting experience and bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Property management industry experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency in MS Office Word, intermediate Excel, and Outlook
- Yardi experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment. Flexibility is important.
- Strong attention to detail is critical.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must also be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to obtain military base access.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings and other work-related activities.
- The position requires mobility within the office; use of a computer and other office machinery such as a scanner and copy machine.
Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks daily.
May require use of personal or company vehicle, or electrical cart.
Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 30 lbs.
Compensation Range : $72,000 - $82,000 Per Year.
