Remote Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Description - Pay Range $30/hr -$36/hr on *** Accounts Payable · Prepares accounts payable upload templates as it relates to pharmacy benefits manager, behavioral health and other vendor spend for payable processing; · Assists Accounts Payable Manager with the following functions: o Weekly invoices – processing AP Inbox & tracking invoices for payment o Brainware – releasing invoices from Brainware and reviewing images in Image Express o New Vendor Setup – create the new vendor setup form in Infor; ACH verification with Vendor & complete the verification form. Follow up with BMC AP for completeness o Process void/reissue check requests – track and confirm when complete o Invoice coding – preliminary update & review with AP Manager o Cash ledger requests – verify, obtain approval, update template, upload to Infor. Monthly reporting to Customer Care and reconcile for completeness o Cognos reporting – generate PDF of invoices & submit for processing o Abandoned Property preparation – AP items· Coordinates with BMC A/P department to validate vendor check runs and annual production of 1099 forms · Integral in maintaining excellent customer service by positive interaction with business owners, vendors, financial institutions, and strategic partners · Assists with internal and external auditsSupervision Received: · Direct Supervision received weeklyQualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required · Insurance/ healthcare experience preferredExperience: · Three or more year’s progressively responsible accounting experience Required Licensure, Certification of Conditions of Employment: · Successful completion of pre-employment **** Competencies, Skills, and Attributes: · Knowledge of accounting and auditing principles and practices under GAAP and statutory accounting · Experience in automated AP/GL environment · Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Systems · Detail oriented, focus on accuracy · Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Experience in or knowledge of managed care or health care financial systems preferred · Ability to work both independently and as part of team · Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage modest projects successfullyWorking Conditions and Physical Effort: (Note special physical or mental demands such as visual acuity, strength, standing, lifting, etc. or special working conditions such as travel, Overtime, Shift requirements, 24x7 Accessibility, etc. See examples)· Remote workforce with periodic in person meetings at corporate office · Ability to work overtime during peak periods. · No, or limited, physical effort required.
