Job Description

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Purchasing Analyst, Financial Services [R0153788]


ROLE of the POSITION

Under the direction of the Executive Director, Purchasing Manager, or Senior Purchasing Analyst the Purchasing Analyst is responsible for administering a wide range of procurement activities, including competitive solicitations, purchase orders, and contract management. This position independently performs procurement functions in compliance with Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) policies, Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS), UNLV policies and procedures, and public procurement best practices.


The Purchasing Analyst supports departmental, divisional, and university objectives and goals, while providing high-quality service to campus stakeholders.


Primary Responsibilities


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 2-4 years of purchasing experience.  Credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date.


BACKGROUND SCREENNING

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background screening.
