Our client is seeking a Procurement/Sourcing Specialist to support project and operational activities by coordinating the safe, compliant, and timely movement of materials, fabricated equipment, and pipeline components. This role works closely with suppliers, carriers, QA/QC teams, and project stakeholders to execute shipments, manage documentation, and ensure materials meet schedule, quality, and regulatory requirements.
The position operates within structured project‑controls environments typical of energy, pipeline, fabrication, and industrial logistics operations.

Responsibilities:
Transportation & Freight Coordination
- Plan and schedule freight and trucking operations.
- Issue Release‑to‑Ship documentation and verify supplier readiness.
- Update shipment status in the TMS system and maintain accurate shipment logs.
- Coordinate transportation for materials, fabricated equipment, and project components.
- Communicate shipping instructions and required documentation to suppliers and carriers.
Shipment Tracking & Issue Resolution
- Provide timely status updates to project teams.
- Track shipments end‑to‑end and proactively resolve delays.
- Confirm deliveries, packing slip accuracy, and documentation completeness.
Documentation & QA/QC Workflow Support
- Coordinate material readiness, staging, and laydown yard activities.
- Manage logistics documentation in Aconex (ITPs, WPS, drawings, inspection reports)
- Support QA/QC inspection workflows and ensure required documents accompany shipments.
Compliance & Safety
- Apply knowledge of DOT/HAZMAT regulations to ensure compliant transport.
- Verify supplier and carrier compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications (Must-Haves)
- All education levels considered.
- Experience updating shipments in a TMS system.
- Strong communication, follow‑up, and organizational skills.
- 2+ years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination.
- Hands-on experience with freight scheduling and trucking operations.
- Proficiency with digital workflow tools (Excel required; Aconex/Oracle preferred)
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of DOT/HAZMAT regulations.
- Experience coordinating staging/laydown yards.
- Background in energy, pipeline, fabrication, or industrial project logistics.
- Experience supporting QA/QC inspection workflows (ITPs, WPS, inspection reports)
