Procurement Manager

We’re looking for a Procurement Manager to help us optimize Hootsuite’s global procurement process. You’ll be working on company-wide cost saving initiatives, strategic sourcing and procurement operations to increase Hootsuite’s profitability.
This role is open to remote-applicants in Canada (in Provinces where we can hire legally).
The position is available for a fixed term from July 2026 to November 2027.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Oversee and project manage purchases from across the organization, including in some cases business critical engagements, acting as a central hub that brings together business partners, Hootsuite’s control functions (like Finance, IT, Legal, Privacy, etc.) and Hootsuite’s supply chain
- Negotiate complex contracts and commercial agreements, particularly in software/SaaS category, ensuring outcomes that balance cost, risk, performance, and long-term value
- Provide advice to all levels of the organization, including executives, on departmental purchasing priorities, technology stack and negotiation strategy
- Design, build and implement purchasing related processes to drive efficiency, compliance and cost savings
- Develop and analyze systems designed to provide data driven insights into the organization’s spend, and then use those insights to continually improve processes and execution
- Manage and optimize the company’s consolidated software budget, ensuring value, accountability and efficiency
- Work with the finance department and other stakeholders to optimize the company’s intake-to-pay cycle
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Experience: At least 8 years of demonstrated procurement / purchasing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years of SaaS procurement, including familiarity and comfort level with hardware procurement
- Education: Post-secondary education with a focus on business, supply chain, finance or a related field; bonus points for CSCP, SCMP or other supply chain management certifications
