Position Summary
As a Payroll Supervisor, you will lead, mentor, and oversee a dedicated team of Senior Payroll Specialists, Specialists, Assistants, and Associates within our client payroll function. You will ensure timely, accurate execution of complex payrolls while driving process improvements and serving as a key escalation point.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Provide day-to-day operational leadership, manage performance reviews, approve timecards/PTO, and coach team members.

Operations Oversight: Monitor daily data input and check preparation to guarantee accurate, scheduled payroll completion.

Process Optimization: Analyze systemic payroll hurdles and implement best practices to improve departmental efficiency.

Compliance & Escalations: Act as the second-level escalation point for complex payroll issues, ensuring strict adherence to federal, provincial, and local laws.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with adjacent departments to resolve year-over-year adjustments, voids, and complex client summaries.
Requirements
Education & Experience

Tenure: 5–7 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, ideally within a payroll services, PEO, or high-volume BPO industry.

Jurisdiction: Proven expertise processing and managing multi-Canadian provincial payrolls.

Language: Professional, bilingual fluency in French and English is mandatory.

Education: High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of traditional or non-traditional education, training, and experience.
Licenses & Certifications

Mandatory: Active PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) or PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional) certification.

Preferred: Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation.

Advanced proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel and Outlook).
