Time & Pay Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Payroll Specialist to join our team. We are a locally owned payroll service bureau providing payroll and related services to businesses across a variety of industries.

This position combines payroll processing, client service, organization, and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable managing multiple responsibilities, and interested in developing long-term payroll knowledge and skills.

Prior payroll experience is helpful, but not required. We provide on-the-job training for candidates who demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and an ability to learn new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

·   Process client payrolls accurately and within established deadlines

·   Review and enter payroll-related information, including new hires, pay changes, deductions, tax updates, and other client requests

·   Prioritize daily responsibilities based on payroll schedules and client needs

·   Prepare and review payroll information with clients before processing

·   Respond to client emails and telephone calls in a professional and timely manner

·   Upload and reconcile retirement, HSA, Workers' Compensation, and other payroll-related files

·   Research payroll questions by reviewing system history, documentation, correspondence, and account records

·   Maintain accurate client notes and documentation

·   Protect confidential payroll, employee, and company information

·   Work effectively across multiple software platforms

·   Assist with identifying opportunities to improve workflows and internal processes

Qualifications

Helpful Experience

The following experience is helpful, but not required:

·   Payroll or timekeeping experience

·   Payentry or Millennium

·   SwipeClock or TimeWorksPlus

·   Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, basic formulas, and working with data imports

Compensation & Benefits

·   Starting pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and qualifications
