    The Monroe County School District (MCSD) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized professional to join our Payroll Department as a Payroll Specialist.     Located in the heart of beautiful Old Town Key West, the MCSD Administrative Offices offer a unique work environment in one of the nation's most desirable coastal communities.

    The Payroll Specialist performs specialized administrative and technical work in support of the District's payroll operations. This position is responsible for processing scheduled and off-cycle payrolls, ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance, maintaining payroll records and reports, assisting with payroll reconciliations, and providing exceptional customer service to employees and district departments. The Payroll Specialist may also oversee or provide guidance to support staff, as assigned, and performs related payroll, administrative, and technical duties.

    This position requires the ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and work independently while adhering to established policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.

    Position Details Payroll Specialist 

    • Contract: 12 Months
    • Work Calendar: 254 Days
    • Salary Schedule: DSIII
    • Work Hours: 8 Hours per Day
