Looking for an exciting opportunity to lead payroll operations in a fast-paced environment? Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead payroll across a diverse employee base (salaried, union, and non-union hourly) while driving efficient, compliant processes that support the overall business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multiple employee groups: weekly for union employees, bi-weekly for non-union and salaried staff
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with union contracts, wage scales, labor laws, and benefit provisions
- Manage tax filings, deductions, benefits administration, and all reporting requirements
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies while proactively improving processes
- Maintain detailed payroll records and deliver clear, accurate reporting to leadership
- Oversee timekeeping and attendance systems to ensure seamless, compliant tracking
Annual Responsibilities
- ACA Reporting: verify and distribute 1095-C forms
- Year-End Processing: manage W-2s, update holiday calendars, and set up the following year’s payroll schedule
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of payroll experience
- Experience with union payroll and multiple pay frequencies
- UKG Ready experience (required)
