Payroll Director

- Oversee payroll operations for multiple skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living facilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for salaried, hourly, PRN, and contract employees
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and labor laws
- Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, deductions, and benefit reconciliations
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff while promoting accuracy and accountability
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and facility leadership regarding payroll-related matters
- Audit payroll records, timekeeping systems, overtime, and attendance reports
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, PTO policies, and payroll procedures
- Assist with payroll system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements
- Prepare payroll reports, analytics, and labor cost summaries for executive leadership
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll concerns in a timely manner
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of payroll management experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site operations
- Previous leadership or director-level payroll experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor compliance
- Experience with payroll software and HRIS systems
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
