Payroll Coordinator
Pride Health is hiring a Payroll Coordinator for one of its clients in Arizona. This is a 6-month contract with the possibility of temp-to-hire with competitive pay and benefits.
Location – Tempe, AZ 85282 Pay range - $24- $28 per hour on W2. Length of assignment – 6 months of contract (possibility of temp-to-hire) Shift – Mon to Fri - Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support accurate and timely payroll processing. This role requires strong experience with timekeeping systems and collaboration across departments to ensure payroll operations run smoothly.
Job Duties
During Payroll Processing Weeks
- Pull, review, and audit employee timecards
- Process manual payroll batches as needed
- Submit payroll files to ADP
- Audit check registers and finalize payroll reports
- Coordinate with Finance/Accounts Payable for payroll funding and check processing
- Distribute payroll checks via the mailroom
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues
During Off-Cycle (Non-Payroll Weeks)
- Perform timecard corrections and payroll data maintenance
- Communicate with employees and department managers regarding payroll matters
- Prepare and validate data for upcoming payroll cycles
- Support continuous improvement of payroll processes
Requirements
- HSD or GED is required.
- Experience with the UKG timekeeping system is preferred (training can be provided for ADP).
- Experience with both ADP and UKG WFM is ideal, but a strong UKG background is prioritized due to current system challenges.
- No strict productivity KPIs for payroll; standard processing and accuracy are the focus.
