Title: Payroll Analyst/Specialist
Location: Plano or Garland, TX
Duration: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Onsite
Compensation: $80,000 to $95,000
Work Requirements: U.S. Citizen, GC Holders, or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Skills: Experienced Payroll Specialist /Analyst using ADP Workforce.
Duties:

• Owning payroll activities from data review through final processing, investigating discrepancies, working with payroll systems, and addressing tax-related questions.
• Manage recurring payroll cycles for both hourly and salaried employees.
• Review payroll inputs and identify issues before payroll is finalized.
• Handle earnings, deductions, adjustments, bonuses, timekeeping information, and other payroll changes.
• Process special and off-cycle payrolls when required.
• Research employee payroll questions and provide timely resolutions.
• Investigate differences between expected and actual payroll results.
• Support payroll activities for employees located in Canada as well as the U.S.
• Apply appropriate Canadian payroll rules relating to taxes, deductions, remittances, and reporting.
• Assist with Canadian year-end requirements and related reconciliations.
• Support U.S. payroll tax activities and respond to payroll tax notices or inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll information and investigate variances between payroll, tax, and accounting records.
• Generate payroll reports and use reporting to identify errors.
• Participate in payroll system changes, upgrades, testing, and implementation activities.
• Validate payroll results.
• Identify ways to simplify payroll processes, strengthen controls, and improve accuracy.
• Provide knowledge and day-to-day assistance to other members of the payroll team.

• 3 years of Recent and hands-on Canadian payroll experience.
• Working knowledge of Canadian payroll taxes, deductions, remittances, and year-end requirements.
• Strong U.S. payroll with multi state and entities.
• Ability to provide guidance and training to payroll team members on processes, system functionality, and resolving payroll issues.
• Direct ADP Workforce Now experience.
• Experience troubleshooting payroll discrepancies and resolving employee payroll issues.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and year-end activities.
• Comfortable working with payroll reports and large amounts of payroll data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and be a team player!

• Payroll certification such as CPP, PCP preferred not a must
