Payroll Administrator - FTJob DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:
Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
- Coordinates all activities for processing routine and ad hoc payroll runs.
- Prepares periodic reports of earning, taxes, and deductions and bi-weekly reports for requesting departments.
- Processes garnishments, child support, tax levy, bankruptcy, etc. including employee notifications and appropriate withholding.
- Reconciles and processes quarterly reports.
- Reconciles and submits billings for TDA’s.
- Assists auditors with requested information.
- Responds to employment verification requests from outside sources.
- Collects, verifies, and stores organizational payroll data.
- Reconciles payroll-related general ledger and prepares reports or statements summarizing payroll-related accounts.
- May interact with third-party payroll or benefit vendors.
- Act in accordance with the established mission, vision, and values.
- Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
- Three (3) years progressive payroll experience.
Required License/Certifications/Registrations
- none
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or business school.
- Experience in a hospital environment.
Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations
- Industry-recognized professional certifications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of Federal and State payroll regulations, laws, procedures.
- Mathematical and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Federal Wage & Hour laws.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
Physical Requirements:
With or without accommodation.
- Light Work: Occasionally exerting up to 25 lbs - frequently exerting up to 10 lbs. 11-25% of the day may be standing or walking.
