We’re looking for a detail-oriented, accountable, and solutions-driven Payroll Administrator who takes pride in accuracy and ownership. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with ADP systems and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation, and supporting employees with pay-related inquiries. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week in our fun Crunch HQ office in Cambridge, ON.
This position is currently a one year contract, with the potential to expand to a permanent role!
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll on a bi-weekly/semi-monthly basis using ADP
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADP
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy prior to processing
- Manage statutory deductions, including taxes, CPP, and EI
- Prepare and process ROEs, T4s, and year-end payroll activities
- Respond to employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and deductions in a timely and professional manner
- Manage onboarding and offboarding of all employees
- Work with supporting platforms to manage onboarding and offboarding of all employees
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters
- Ensure compliance with employment standards and company policies
- Support audits and provide payroll reporting as required
- 1–3+ years of payroll administration experience
- Hands-on experience with ADP (Workforce Now or similar platform preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and standards
- Payroll administrator certificate or working toward it is an asset
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting
