Media and Entertainments Portfolio - Audit Senior

There is a dedicated highly motivated team in place that is looking for a like-minded individual assist with the running of the compliance portfolio. We are looking to recruit a Media Senior. You will be self-motivated, capable of working on your own initiative and have the ability to plan, control and complete audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of media clients. You will have direct access to partners and the ability to provide a valued opinion within the team. Excellent opportunities exist for ambitious and driven candidates to progress within the firm. Our media portfolio consists of Film and TV production companies, advertising companies, TV format companies, post production companies and music promotion companies. We are demonstrably the market leaders in this sector having grown a strong team of 15 dedicated people in the last 18 months - with wider support from over 60 other experienced professionals including partners in the Dublin office.

Main responsibilities:

• preparation of accounts and financial statements under FRS102;
• design and implementation of audit plans;
• manage trainees while on assignment; and
• attend client premises during the audit;
• ensure completion of assignments within appropriate budget and timeframe;
• draft corporation tax returns in accordance with Irish tax legislation
• assist in maintaining and developing client relationships;
• responsible for development and mentoring of trainees.
• providing timely and accurate information to clients on ongoing personal tax issues; commercial approach to issues that arise day to day.
• identifying tax planning opportunities.

Skills and attributes:

• qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or similar qualification);
• strong technical knowledge;
• experience in audit engagements;
• worked with a diverse portfolio of clients;
• capable of working on your own initiative;
• ambitious and want to pursue a career in practice; and
• strong interpersonal skills are essential.
