We are looking for a Managing Tax Director to join our Tax Capability. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, shape the future direction of Koch's Tax organization while helping drive long-term value creation across the company.
This role will partner closely with tax, business, and capability leaders to identify opportunities, address emerging challenges, and position the Tax organization to meet evolving business needs. Success in this role requires an enterprise mindset, exceptional leadership capabilities, strong business and economic acumen, technical tax credibility, and the ability to drive meaningful change across a complex organization.
The position will be located in Wichita, Kansas. This role is eligible for relocation assistance.
What You Will Do
- Lead strategic initiatives that advance the long-term effectiveness, impact, and value creation of the Tax organization.
- Partner with business and capability leaders to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges, and create long-term value for Koch.
- Help define and execute the future vision, priorities, and operating approach for the Tax organization.
- Provide strategic guidance and sound judgment on complex tax and business matters, helping leaders make informed decisions that support business objectives.
- Build organizational capabilities and operating approaches that enable the Tax organization to effectively support evolving business needs and opportunities.
- Develop leaders and strengthen talent across the organization through coaching, mentorship, and capability-building efforts.
- Foster a culture of challenge, collaboration, Principled Entrepreneurship™, and continuous learning.
- Lead organizational change initiatives that position the Tax team for future success and increased impact.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Significant experience leading within a complex corporate tax, finance, or related business environment.
- Deep experience evaluating and navigating complex tax and business issues requiring sound judgment and strategic thinking.
- Experience partnering with business leaders to develop solutions that create value and support business objectives.
- Experience leading, developing, and coaching high-performing teams and leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive outcomes across diverse stakeholders.
- Experience leading organizational change and capability-building efforts.
- Experience applying business, economic, and tax considerations to influence strategic decisions affecting enterprise outcomes.
