Manager Procurement & Supply Chain - Publieke Sector

KPMG Nederland • Amstelveen, NH • Full Time

Your Role

In this role, you are the link between vision and execution: You lead complex projects from analysis to implementation, often with governmental attention and societal visibility. You advise directors and administrators on sustainable procurement, digitization, chain optimization, and risk management. You build propositions that respond to current public themes (such as circular chains, efficient healthcare, digitization, and climate challenges). You coach colleagues and develop the team (your leadership ensures growth, quality, and connection). You strengthen client relationships and build a network within the public sector. You increase societal impact by using public resources smartly, efficiently, and sustainably. You step into organizations that are at the heart of society, and you immediately become part of their mission.

No day is the same. One week you help a ministry make choices that affect millions of Dutch people, the next week you sit down with a healthcare institution to make chains future-proof. You work on assignments that truly matter. You delve into complex societal issues and make them clear, manageable, and solvable. You develop future-oriented strategies for sustainable procurement, circular chains, or digitization. Always with impact as the starting point. You guide organizations during implementations, seeing how your advice yields tangible results. You collaborate with administrators, experts, and chain partners, continuously learning and discovering new perspectives. You build trust by communicating clearly, involving people, and creating solutions that last.

“Working for public clients means working on themes that affect everyone: safety, health, sustainability. That gives energy and meaning.” – Consultant Public Sector
