Job Description
What is the opportunity?
The primary responsibility for the Manager Tax Operations is to planning, executing, and closing projects within defined scope, timeline, budget, and quality parameters for U.S. tax initiatives. This role ensures successful project delivery by coordinating resources, managing stakeholders, and mitigating risks This includes adherence to the regulatory tax reporting requirements of the IRS which will be accomplished by becoming a SME in the areas of U.S. tax processing and regulatory reporting.
What will you do?
- Define Scope & Plan – Establish project objectives, timelines, budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies with stakeholders
- Execute & Monitor – Direct team activities, track progress, manage budget, and maintain documentation
- Manage Stakeholders – Serve as primary contact, conduct status meetings, manage expectations, and escalate issues
- Ensure Quality & Compliance – Verify deliverables meet standards, oversee testing, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Close & Transfer Knowledge – Complete handoff, document lessons learned, and close all project records
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
- Education & Experience – University degree and/or 5+ years industry experience
- Strategic Planning – Organizational skills, financial and resource management, risk management expertise
- Leadership – Team coordination and decision-making
- Communication – Interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement
- Compliance – Knowledge of US Tax and regulatory requirements
- Problem-Solving – Critical thinking and analytical capability
Nice-to-have:
- Advance Proficiency with Excel (i.e. programming that involves Visual Basic macros for EXCEL).
- Experience in wealth and asset management industry
