Manager - Audit and Tax

HornBill has a client, a local CPA firm that is seeking Audit and Tax Managers for their expanding Audit and Tax practices in New York, New York (NY). These are fantastic opportunities at this up and coming boutique public accounting firm. This position offers excellent opportunities for leadership and career advancement Responsibilities:

• Lead audit engagements for diverse clientele
• Prepare and review federal and state income taxes for individuals and business clients, estates and trusts
• Build new and existing client relationships
• Prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS or Treasury Department
• Train staff, reviews and evaluates their work
• Manage multiple clients, budgets and production goals

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA Certification
• 8+ years of prior experience in Public Accounting (audit, tax or combination of both)
• Significant supervisory experience
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual, business, benefit fund, real estate, exempt organization tax and estates trust tax returns
• Strong accounting and analytical skills
• Strong computer skills Excel, Word
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Detail oriented & ability to multi-task
