Lead Sourcing Specialist - Buying/Procurement

Job Description Summary Manage the buying process for a defined set of goods and suppliers supporting multiple internal Wind customers as a Lead Buyer for Pensacola site. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Place and follow-up on POs for assigned commodities and suppliers according to global sourcing fulfillment operation strategy. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes. Update ERP. Build and maintain a common line of balance for the site. Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy. A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance. Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Sourcing & Buying-Procurement. Minimum of 5 years of advanced experience in the Sourcing & Buying-Procurement. Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, and execute programs. Established project management skills. Proven ability to build international networks across different functions. Relocation Assistance Provided: No For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $82,900.00 and $138,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
