About the Role:
The Lead Merchandising & Procurement Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Procurement Director and supports merchandising and procurement initiatives across all Mollie Stone's Markets locations. This hybrid role combines hands-on store merchandising, procurement support, administrative responsibilities, vendor program coordination, and data analysis.
This is a highly hands-on position requiring regular travel between store locations. The role works closely with store teams to support execution and maintain strong merchandising standards.
The role requires initiative, organization, sound judgment, and follow-through while maintaining alignment with the direction and priorities established by the Senior Procurement Director.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, adaptable, comfortable solving problems, and able to create practical solutions while remaining open to feedback and changing business priorities.
Merchandising & Store Support
- Serve as a lead resource for merchandising initiatives and personally execute merchandising projects in stores.
- Perform hands-on merchandising.
- Work alongside store teams to execute merchandising initiatives and provide support as needed.
- Ensure merchandising and promotional initiatives are executed according to company standards and objectives.
- Conduct regular store visits to merchandise, evaluate execution, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements.
- Partner with Store Operations and Marketing on merchandising and promotional initiatives.
- Develop practical merchandising solutions when formal planograms, templates, or established processes are not available.
Procurement & Administrative Support:
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Senior Procurement Director.
- Support department priorities, special projects, and follow-up on key initiatives.
- Pull, organize, and analyze sales movement reports, performance reports, and other operational data.
- Assist with product maintenance, pricing updates, data entry, and other procurement-related administrative functions.
- Support reporting and other computer-based tasks necessary to the department.
Vendor and Store Support:
- Serve as the primary administrator for the company's product demonstration program, including vendor communication, scheduling, and program coordination.
- Support Senior Procurement Director andstore teams with ordering questions, product setup, pricing discrepancies, and other operational issues.
- Coordinate vendor samples and maintain the department sample library.
- Assist with vendor meetings, product reviews, and store walkthroughs.
- Support invoice verification, claims, pricing reviews, and vendor follow-up.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Store Operations, vendors, and internal teams to support company initiatives.
Operational Support:
- Implement new merchandising and procurement initiatives.
- Develop practical solutions and improve workflows.
- Maintain accurate product, pricing, and purchasing information as needed.
- Assist with reports and tracking key business information.
- Follow through on assigned projects and initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stocking, shelf resets, and display building.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work in both stores and the corporate office.
Travel Requirements:
Frequent travel between the corporate office and all Mollie Stone's Markets locations
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80K-90K
