About the Position: the Junior Accountant prepares and reconciles the day-to-day financial data for the Food Bank and has primary responsibility for maintaining accurate financial records by processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting.

REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB SUMMARY

Daily Accounting and Bookkeeping (60%)

Invoicing and Billables (40%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, 3-4 years of accounting experience, or a combination of education and experience.

Job Details: This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position with an hourly rate of $31.79 - $34.61, depending on education and experience. Hours are most commonly Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, however, occasional weekend and evening work may be required.

PAID TIME OFF: new hires accrue three weeks of vacation time in their first year of service, in addition to paid 10 company holidays, and 12 sick days, per year.
