As a Junior Staff Accountant, you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations that help keep the business running smoothly. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and excited to build both technical accounting knowledge and business acumen in a collaborative environment. Working closely with the Accounting and Finance teams, you’ll support key processes including promotional spend reporting, broker commissions, fixed assets, reconciliations, and month-end close activities—while developing a deeper understanding of how accounting supports business decision-making.
At Torani, you won’t just learn accounting processes - you’ll learn how to work collaboratively, think critically, and continuously improve alongside a team that genuinely enjoys helping each other grow. If you’re energized by learning new things, solving problems, and contributing to meaningful work within a people-first culture, we’d love to meet you.
Success Factors (First 12–24 Months)
- Accounting Operations & Team Support: You became a reliable and collaborative member of the Accounting team by consistently supporting day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy, organization, and follow-through. Working closely with the Senior Accountant and broader Finance team, you helped support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities including billing, credits, collections, and vendor payments, while contributing to smooth month-end and year-end close processes. Through journal entries, reconciliations, and attention to detail, you helped ensure financial records remained accurate, timely, and aligned with GAAP expectations.
- Promotional Spend & Financial Accuracy Partner: You helped strengthen the accuracy and visibility of promotional spend reporting by partnering closely with Sales and Finance teams. Through thoughtful account reconciliations and careful review of rebates and billbacks, you supported accurate tracking of liabilities and helped identify discrepancies before they became larger issues. Over time, you developed a stronger understanding of how promotional investments impact the business and how accounting supports informed financial decision-making.
- Broker & Business Partnership Support: You supported strong relationships with Torani’s broker partners by helping ensure commission calculations and payments were accurate and timely. Through responsiveness, consistency, and attention to detail, you contributed to a positive experience for both internal and external stakeholders. As your understanding of the business grew, you became increasingly confident navigating questions, resolving issues, and supporting processes that required collaboration across teams.
- Fixed Assets, Audit & Compliance Support: You built foundational experience supporting fixed asset accounting, audit preparation, and compliance-related activities. Partnering with the Senior Accountant, you assisted with project coding, asset tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and Oracle Projects maintenance while helping ensure alignment with company policies and accounting standards. During audit and tax cycles, you helped prepare supporting documentation, respond to requests, and maintain organized records that contributed to efficient and accurate reviews.
- Communication, Learning & Continuous Improvement: You approached your work with curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn. By proactively communicating updates, asking thoughtful questions, and staying organized, you helped maintain alignment across Accounting and Finance teams. Over time, you became more confident identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen accuracy, and support smoother workflows. Your growth mindset, collaborative approach, and attention to detail helped you build strong foundational accounting skills while contributing positively to the team environment.
