The Position

We are offering a paid internship position in Reno, NV to UNR Business College students as follows:

Dates & Duration for Internship

Start date to be determined upon hire -schedule can be somewhat flexible depending on selected candidate’s needs and school schedule. This is a 12-week internship program.

Weekly Hours and Schedule

20 Hours per week in office, between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm; Exact working schedule to be discussed in interview.

Compensation

$17.00 per hour

Description of Internship

Selected candidate will gain an introductory understanding of the operations of an insurance brokerage company. They will then focus on the accounting department to learn day-to-day processes, become familiar with the various roles within the department, and provide support with administrative tasks, projects, and other duties as needed.

Please Note

The internship is a short term, temporary position that will end after 12 weeks. Completion of the internship does not guarantee an offer of full-time employment. Internship candidates may apply and be considered for open positions within the company once internship has been concluded.

Qualifications Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree or must be working toward Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Excellent relationship building skills, problem solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
