The position assesses financial practices, compliance with applicable laws, regulations, contracts, grant requirements, and organizational policies; identifies financial, operational, and compliance risks; and recommends practical improvements that strengthen fiscal accountability, stewardship, and operational integrity. This role requires a high degree of independence, professional judgment, confidentiality, and objectivity. Audit work should be conducted in accordance with accepted auditing standards and established organizational procedures.
