As our Global Vegetable Seeds Cost Controller, you play a critical role in helping the organization understand, manage, and continuously improve the cost of producing and delivering vegetable seeds worldwide.
In this highly international role, you will combine financial expertise, business partnering, and systems knowledge to drive transparency, support key decisions, and ensure that our costing and reporting processes remain fit for the future. You will work across functions, countries, and cultures to create insight, improve data quality, and contribute to sustainable business growth.
Your Job
In this role, you will:
- Lead global reporting, analysis, and forecasting related to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), inventory variances, write-offs, and margins across our worldwide vegetable seeds business.
- Translate complex financial and operational data into meaningful business insights, enabling leaders to make informed decisions and improve performance.
- Drive continuous improvement of product costing methodologies, ensuring consistency, transparency, and accuracy across regions, crops, and entities.
- Act as a key expert for SAP S/4HANA product costing and support the evolution of costing processes, master data quality, and related system capabilities.
- Support local finance and controlling teams around the globe by providing guidance, expertise, and practical solutions on costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
- Partner closely with Finance Shared Services, production teams, supply chain, quality, processing, and global business stakeholders to ensure accurate cost allocation throughout the seed value chain.
- Identify recurring issues, translate them into sustainable improvements, and help strengthen financial governance, reporting quality, and operational excellence across the organization.
- Contribute to ERP implementation and optimization projects, helping the organization successfully transition and grow in an evolving systems landscape.
Your Team
You will become part of a global Finance and Controlling organization that supports one of the world's leading vegetable seed businesses.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with finance professionals, production controllers, supply chain experts, processing teams, IT specialists, and business stakeholders across Europe, North America, Latin America, and APAC. Together, you will ensure reliable financial information, strong governance, and continuous improvement of our business processes.
Although you will not have direct reports, you will have significant influence across the organization. Your expertise, communication skills, and ability to build relationships will help align stakeholders and drive meaningful change without relying on formal authority.

Your Profile
What knowledge and experience make you successful in this role?
- Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in controlling with a focus on product costing, cost controlling including profound knowledge of SAP 4Hana including technical coding.
- Strong understanding of product costing principles, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with SAP S/4HANA.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills combined with a hands-on and pragmatic mindset.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered a plus.
