Inside Sales/Procurement Specialist

Position Summary
Iron Depot is seeking a motivated and organized Inside Sales / Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. This position is responsible for supporting daily sales operations, assisting customers at the front counter, sourcing and purchasing materials, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both sales and purchasing, be familiar with steel products and welding supplies, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where customer service and attention to detail are critical.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person, by phone, and through email with product inquiries and sales orders.
- Provide excellent customer service at the front counter.
- Source materials, products, and supplies from vendors to meet customer and company needs.
- Obtain pricing, lead times, and availability from suppliers.
- Create and manage purchase orders.
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing material deliveries.
- Maintain accurate product and pricing information.
- Work closely with warehouse, sales, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and improve purchasing efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience in inside sales, purchasing, procurement, or related fields.
- Knowledge of steel products, metal fabrication materials, welding supplies, or industrial products preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with computers and business software systems.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and driven to achieve results.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation & Benefits
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour starting depending on experience.
