INTRODUCTION TO ROLE:The HR Payroll Administrator is responsible for providing comprehensive support in the day-to-day of people operations, the recruitment process, team member benefits administration, team member onboarding, payroll support, and the accuracy and maintenance of team member records within the organization's HRIS system, Dayforce. The HR Payroll Administrator works closely with other departments to provide customer-focused, effective HR support to the organization for the achievement of the organization's goals and objectives. This role takes an active part in payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance management, and tracking key HR deadlines and deliverables across the portfolio. The position supports multi-state payroll and leave compliance, assists with HR audits, and provides general HR support to both the internal team and team members across the Blue Water portfolio. Provides general administrative support in all areas needed, such as preparing communications, forms, and reports, arranging meetings, processing confidential reports and documents (electronic and hard copy files), and tracking deadlines. Supports active payroll processing, including multi-state payroll administration, time and attendance review, and resolving pay-related discrepancies in Dayforce. Administers employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, life events, plan changes, and terminations; coordinates with benefit vendors and serves as the primary point of contact for team member benefits inquiries. Tracks and manages key HR compliance deadlines and deliverables, including benefit plan renewals, government filings, required employment notices, and state-specific reporting obligations across the portfolio. Supports multi-state payroll and leave compliance, including monitoring regulatory changes, maintaining supporting documentation, and configuring applicable leave policies in Dayforce. Prepares documentation for new hires or changes in pay, status, or benefits. Manages sensitive and confidential matters including team member relations and organization changes, and protects the security of information, data, and files. Responds to and processes various requests from HR, Regional, and Property teams. Provides general HR support to team members across the portfolio, serving as a responsive resource for HR policy clarification, process guidance, and day-to-day people operations questions. Assists with HR compliance audits and related documentation, including I-9 audits, wage and hour reviews, and preparation of responses to government agency inquiries. Exercises individual judgment when dealing with potential or real issues and brings them to the appropriate resources within the HR or property teams. Conducts research, gathers data and statistical reports, and maintains statistical information on various HR areas. Coordinates training events or programs and recommends resources, as needed. Keeps up to date on current issues and matters in the organization related to the HR field, both federal and local government. Administers and monitors all background checks and other pre-employment screening. Provides recruitment support, including posting open positions, coordinating candidate scheduling, assisting with pre-employment screening, and supporting the Talent Acquisition Manager throughout the hiring process. Assists in scheduling and monitoring team member performance reviews. Maintains logs/records of assigned training and compliance and updates profiles accordingly. Provides ongoing HRIS system support, including maintaining accurate team member records, assisting team members and managers with system navigation, and troubleshooting basic HRIS issues. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Performs other duties as assigned. Provides regular and reliable attendance.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization's HRIS system (Dayforce) and talent management systems, including day-to-day HRIS system support and troubleshooting.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH: As our HR Payroll Administrator, you will report to the Chief People Officer and work closely with the Field People Operations team, supporting the HRIS Manager and Talent Acquisition Manager. PHYSICAL & TEAM EXPECTATIONS:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or writing. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Some travel to properties may be required.
