Head Of Procurement

Position Overview

The position reports to the Director Operations and is responsible for cost optimization, effective management of key suppliers and risks, and an efficient procurement process for goods and services at Red Bull Germany. This includes local procurement of print materials, support for tenders, and fleet management. In alignment with HQ Global Procurement and adhering to applicable guidelines and strategic objectives, the focus is on identifying, planning, and implementing purchasing strategies and initiatives for external supplier goods and services for Red Bull. This involves cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to define and align business requirements, purchasing strategies, and procedures.

Key Results and Achievements

• Expenditures, purchasing initiatives, and key suppliers and risks are transparent and actively managed.
• Category strategies, policies, and improvement programs are established; contracts, milestones, performances, and purchasing benefits are centrally documented and reported via KPIs.
• Compliance with global and local requirements is ensured.
• The Procurement and Fleet team is managed and developed in a performance-oriented manner.

Planning and Strategy

• Business plans and expenditures are analyzed together with budget and material managers to derive cost, service, and improvement potentials.
• In line with the Global Procurement Policy, purchasing guidelines, processes, and specifications for supplier management and outsourcing are developed and implemented.
• Market trends, prices, availability, and capacities are evaluated; new suppliers are systematically identified and qualified.
• The added value of purchasing is communicated transparently.

Source to Contract

• Category strategies are further developed to realize consolidation and efficiency potentials.
• Sourcing strategies, objectives, and negotiation tactics are defined for strategic procurements and tenders.
• Negotiations are conducted or supported up to contract approval to achieve optimal conditions in terms of price, quality, risk, time, and performance.
• Necessary budget adjustments are recommended.

Business Partnering

• Needs, expenditures, and sourcing strategies are aligned with business units and budget managers.
• Business partners manage key suppliers and monitor their performance.
• Cross-functional initiatives for cost and knowledge optimization are supported.
• Objectives, strategic initiatives, and relevant developments are regularly aligned with HQ Global Procurement.

Performance Management

• Annual purchasing objectives are set with stakeholders.
• Progress, results, supplier performance, and expenditures are regularly managed through a unified management and KPI reporting system.

Team Leadership

• The team is managed in a goal- and performance-oriented manner.
• Proactive, service-oriented collaboration, individual development plans, and forward-looking succession planning are ensured.
• Individual roles are covered as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable field, or equivalent extensive professional experience.
• Fluent German and English language skills.
• Solid experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the FMCG industry.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience in project and process management.
• Solid understanding of modern Source-to-Contract procurement processes.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• SAP experience is desirable.
• Ability to develop a long-term purchasing vision and strategic plans for the organization.
• Strong competence in stakeholder management and building sustainable relationships.
• Solid analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work successfully in a dynamic environment within a global organizational structure.
