GRANT ACCOUNTANT 

The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Grant Accountant to join our Finance team. This role provides financial management and accounting support for grant-funded programs, with a primary focus on Head Start and Early Learning initiatives that serve children and families throughout the Kansas City region.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This position plays an important role in supporting the financial operations of complex grant-funded programs. While much of the work is performed independently, success depends on strong collaboration with program staff, vendors, and grant partners.

No two days are exactly alike. Grant cycles, program needs, reimbursement requests, vendor questions, reporting deadlines, and compliance requirements create a dynamic environment that combines routine accounting responsibilities with analytical and problem-solving work.

This position reports to the Grant Manager and works closely with Head Start and Early Learning program leadership.
