GL Accountant

Edge Eyewear is seeking a GL Accountant to join our accounting team and play a key role in the month-end close and financial reporting process. You'll work across multiple entities, with responsibility for general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and intercompany activity, while partnering closely with the accounting team and business leaders. What You’ll Do

• Support and execute key activities within the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and adjusting entries
• Perform general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations, researching and resolving discrepancies
• Maintain accurate general ledger activity across multiple entities
• Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations
• Support accounting for fixed assets and related schedules
• Review accounting activity for accuracy, appropriate coding, and proper period recognition
• Partner with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to ensure transactional activity is accurately reflected in the general ledger
• Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and supporting schedules
• Support accounting activities related to international operations, including foreign currency transactions
• Help identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Maintain accurate documentation and accounting records
• Assist with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful general ledger and month-end close experience
• Experience preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations
• Understanding of accrual accounting and general accounting principles
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred
• Strong Excel skills and experience working within an ERP/accounting system
• Odoo experience is a plus
• Experience with intercompany accounting and/or international operations is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
