GL Accountant Sr.

15322 Title: GL Accountant Sr Bill Rate: $70-90/HR Hours: 9-5 | M-F Hybrid set up (2-3 days work onsite) Location: 8350 Broad St, McLean VA Assignment Duration: 3 months Possible for extension? PossibleWhat You'll Do:

• Provide full cycle accounting for a portfolio of class A office properties in the DC Metro Region
• Create month-end accounting journal entries. Work with property staff, lease administration, and other internal teams to ensure property financials are accurate & complete.
• Review all general ledger activity for accuracy and completeness
• Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX workpapers.
• Draft variance report comments which explain a property's performance against budget and prior periods.
• Calculate tenant recovery billings for CAM and Tax
• Review new leases at property to ensure accurate revenue recognition and recovery set-up.
• Provide support for audit and tax compliance teams
• Provide support for ad hoc ownership requests
• Provide support to property management team. Be able to explain complex information to others without a financial background.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
• Work within the client standard procedures to achieveWhat You'll Need
• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Experience with Yardi preferred
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)Summary:
