Fund Accounting Manager

A leading global alternative asset manager is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its established accounting team in Los Angeles.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded investment firm managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio across hedge funds, private credit, private equity-style investments, and real estate. You'll work closely with senior finance leadership while overseeing key fund accounting activities supporting sophisticated investment vehicles.

What you'll be doing:

• Supervise and mentor members of the fund accounting team
• Review daily trading activity and reconciliations with prime brokers and custodians
• Review NAV calculations, month-end valuations, and financial reporting
• Review hedge fund financial statements and investor reporting
• Perform performance reporting and analysis for investment professionals
• Approve cash transfers, wire activity, and other fund transactions
• Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors
• Review pricing for complex investment securities
• Account for derivatives, bank loans, private investments, and other complex instruments
• Partner with fund administrators to resolve NAV breaks and ensure timely regulatory reporting

We're looking for professionals with:

• 7–10+ years of fund accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of NAV calculations, partnership accounting, valuations, and complex securities
• Experience working with hedge funds, private credit, private equity funds, or other alternative investment vehicles
• Strong understanding of investment accounting and financial reporting
• CPA preferred but not required
• Prior Big Four experience is a plus
• Experience with Geneva is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
