Seeking a Fund Accountant for a Mutual Fund (Investment) firm, mid-level experience in alternative investment, derivatives or fair value preferred, to conduct a variety of accounting and financial reporting duties specifically related to various Client Funds including general ledger maintenance, heavy account reconciliation work, revenue and expense allocations across multiple funds, financial analysis and reporting as well as month-end close work.Job Description:Assists with preparation and review of the quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements, management reporting, and board reporting materials.Assists with day-to-day oversight of Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting functions.Assists with the coordination of audit efforts with external service providers and external auditors.Assists with product management including the development and analysis of new products, modifications of current products, launch of new funds, closing, and merging of current funds.Qualifications:Degrees /designations CFAProven in-depth knowledge, understanding of GAAP accounting principles and various Fund structures.Proven ability to analyze and interpret financial statementsProven strong accounting skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions.
