This is a temporary position The assignment duration is through 03/31/2028 JOB SUMMARY The FLEX Manager, Benefits Finance & Accounting, is responsible for supporting the accounting, financial reporting, audit, regulatory reporting, and financial planning activities for the Company’s employee benefit and compensation plans. This position manages key accounting and reporting processes related to the Retirement Savings Plan (“RSP”), Executive Deferred Compensation Plan (“EDC”), Employee Stock Purchase Plan (“ESPP”), and certain frozen legacy pension and deferred compensation plans. The FLEX Manager, Benefits Finance & Accounting, is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, performing and reviewing account reconciliations, coordinating annual plan audits and regulatory filings, and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities. This role works closely with Benefits, Legal, Tax, Finance, Financial Reporting, external auditors, recordkeepers, and other internal and external partners to ensure financial information is accurate, appropriately supported, and compliant with applicable accounting and reporting requirements. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting, financial reporting, audit, or finance experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts. Experience preparing or reviewing account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules. Experience coordinating financial statement audits or working directly with external auditors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a complex corporate environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners. Preferred CPA or other relevant professional certification. Public accounting experience. Experience with employee benefit plan accounting, audits, or financial reporting. Experience with SEC and DOL reporting requirements, including Forms 11-K, S-8, and 5500. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Manage accounting and financial reporting activities for the Company’s RSP, EDC, ESPP, and certain frozen legacy pension and deferred compensation plans. Reconcile monthly and quarterly Fidelity recordkeeping reports to the Company’s books and records, ensuring the accurate recording of plan earnings, fees, contributions, distributions, and other plan activity. Ensure accurate and timely recording of monthly ESPP expenses and related accounting entries. Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules associated with employee benefit and compensation plans. Research and resolve discrepancies between recordkeeper, payroll, financial reporting, and general ledger information. Manage the annual financial statement audit of the Company’s RSP, including preparation of financial statements, audit reconciliations and supporting schedules, coordination of audit requests, and drafting of the related SEC Form 11-K filing. Review and reconcile annual regulatory filings, including DOL Form 5500 and SEC Form S-8 filings, to supporting financial and plan records. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, recordkeepers, and other service providers to support timely completion of audits and regulatory reporting requirements. Maintain appropriate documentation and support for significant accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting matters. Manage monthly accounting and financial reporting activities for the EDC and frozen legacy deferred compensation plans. Ensure timely and accurate monthly EDC disbursements, related billings, reconciliations, and accounting entries. Prepare quarterly EDC Long Range Plan (LRP) projections and develop additional financial projections and analyses in support of business needs. Prepare annual budget and forecast projections for Company employer match costs related to the RSP, EDC, and ESPP. Analyze actual results against budget and forecast assumptions and identify and explain significant variances. Develop financial analyses and projections to support Benefits, Finance, and other stakeholders in evaluating plan costs and financial impacts. Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of benefits-related accounting and financial reporting processes. Maintain and update annual SOX narratives and related process documentation, as needed, to reflect current accounting processes and controls. Support the execution and documentation of internal controls over benefits accounting and financial reporting. Collaborate with Benefits, Legal, Tax, Finance, Financial Reporting, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate accounting and reporting treatment and provide requested financial information and analysis. Serve as a finance and accounting resource for benefit plan matters, providing guidance and analysis to internal partners as needed.
