Financial Controller, Logistics Operations (Site Controller) We Offer • A highly visible role partnering with Site Managers and business leaders to improve operational and financial performance • Opportunity to influence key business decisions through financial insights, profitability analysis, and process improvements • Exposure to end-to-end logistics operations, including customer implementations, revenue assurance, operational controls, and business transformation initiatives • A collaborative and international environment with strong opportunities for career growth across Finance and Operations Key Responsibilities • Partner with Site Managers and operational stakeholders to drive site profitability, financial accuracy, and business performance • Monitor and analyze revenue, costs, accruals, and profitability, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement • Support month-end close activities through review of operational accruals, financial trends, and performance metrics • Ensure compliance with customer contracts, billing processes, internal controls, and governance requirements • Drive operational finance KPIs and Health Metrics through root cause analysis and corrective actions • Support new customer implementations, process improvements and business transformation initiatives • Act as the key link between Operations, Commercial, and Financial Business Partner teams What We Are Looking For Education & Experiences: Business level Japanese and English Strong and progressive work experience in accounting, finance controlling or business finance and performance management Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Business Administration or Finance / Accounting preferred Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, or service industries is an advantage CPA/CA or knowledge of JGAAP/IFRS is an advantage Skills & Capabilities: Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights Strong understanding of financial reporting, accrual accounting, profitability analysis, and internal controls Experience driving process improvements, risk management, and operational controls Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering capabilities Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills Personal Characteristics: Proactive, self-driven, and accountable Able to work under pressure and manage ambiguity Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Self-aware and collaborative, and can manage conflicts by finding common ground and address performance issues in a positive but firm manner Has a drive for results, inspires others to strive higher and does not bind him/herself by functional and leadership level silo Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
