Financial Controller
Full-Time | Onsite | Auburn Hills, MI | M-F 7:30am-4:30pm
HERCO is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for our growing project-based manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for financial reporting, cash flow management, WIP tracking, progressive invoicing, percentage-of-completion accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing the accounting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end/year-end close.
- Monitor project profitability, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition.
- Oversee progressive invoicing, overbillings, and underbillings.
- Manage cash flow, AR, working capital, and budgeting processes.
- Support strategic planning through financial analysis and forecasting.
- Maintain GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA preferred.
- 7-10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
- Experience with WIP accounting, project accounting, and progressive billing.
- ERP experience (SAP B1 preferred).
- Strong Excel, analytical, and leadership skills.
Salary: $115,000+ Pay will be competitive and commensurate with level of experience.
