What You'll Do
- Lead all accounting operations, including AP, AR, General Ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Manage monthly and year-end close processes, consolidations, accruals, and audit preparation.
- Oversee cost accounting for raw materials, labor, overhead, trims, and finished goods.
- Manage factoring relationships, A/R financing activities, and borrowing base reporting.
- Establish financial controls and reconciliation processes across production and operational functions.
- Monitor cash flow and manage the timing differences between manufacturing expenses and customer collections.
- Ensure GAAP compliance across multi-state and international operations.
- Lead year-end financial reviews and external audit activities.
- Partner with sourcing, production, logistics, and leadership teams to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff while supporting a high-performance finance function.
What You'll Bring
- 12+ years of accounting experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience at the Assistant Controller or Controller level.
- Apparel manufacturing accounting experience required.
- Strong background in cost accounting, inventory-in-transit, and production workflows.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Experience with 3PL and warehouse management system integrations.
- Experience managing year-end reviews and external audits.
- Direct experience with factoring and A/R financing.
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Power Query.
- Experience leading accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Torrance, CA.
