Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis Organization. This role will serve as a key business partner to the Facilities, Operations, Integrated Enterprise Planning and Supply Chain teams, providing financial oversight and analytical support for capital investments, lease administration and long-range planning activities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for capital planning, reporting, forecasting, and governance while ensuring compliance with company policies and financial and contract objectives. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions to support strategic decision making.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Monitor capital project performance and provide regular reporting on spending, commitments, forecast and project status.
- Analyze capital expenditures and identify risks, opportunities, and trends to support management decision making.
- Oracle project creation, maintenance, invoice and requisition approvals
- Development of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements related to capital investments.
- Partner with facilities and real estate teams to evaluate lease renewals, modifications, and new agreements.
- Analyze lease-related financial impacts and provide recommendations to support business decisions.
- Serve as a trusted financial partner to Programs, Operations, Facilities and Supply Chain Organizations
- Support monthly forecast updates, annual operating plans and long-range strategic planning activities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration/Management, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management or Marketing.
- Candidate must be willing to travel regularly to EB’s Quonset Point Facility
Preferred:
- 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, budgeting, or related role
- Experience supporting capital planning, capital project accounting, or investment analysis
- Experience working with with EB financial systems
- Experience with of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards
Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn other software such Power BI, Oracle, Alteryx
- Ability to analyze and draw meaningful conclusions and forecasts from large sets of data
- Strong critical thinking skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with government contracting including billing, invoicing and escalation
- Candidates should be adept at computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel and Powerpoint)
- Strong commitment to meet deadlines and complete all assigned tasks
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when working with sensitive information
