Compensation: $75,000 annual salary paid twice-monthly
Schedule: Weekday shift from 8:30am-5:30pm, adjusted as necessary for night and weekend work based on Broadway Dallas event/meeting programming
Location: Music Hall at Fair Park, Dallas, TX
Remote Work: Flex: In person at the worksite, with up to 2 days/week remote as assigned by supervisor

Position Summary:
Join a team of dedicated finance and administration professionals who support fellow employees, contractors, vendors, renters, and artists working out of the historic century-old Music Hall at Fair Park. As one of the region’s leading nonprofit arts organizations, each year Broadway Dallas presents approximately 18 weeks of touring Broadway performances and dozens of concert, spoken word, and other events at the Music Hall at Fair Park, and another 2-4 weeks of Broadway at the Winspear. Additionally, Broadway Dallas is proud of its growing education and community work in classrooms and throughout the community in North Texas and beyond.
The Financial Analyst is responsible for formulation and presentation of the Broadway Dallas budget, all forecasting and long-term financial planning, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking, data and analyses, fixed asset accounting, and capital project monitoring.
This position requires regular on-site work in and around the Music Hall at Fair Park. Familiarity with Fair Park and its surrounding neighborhoods is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Budget Formulation & Presentation: Coordinate the annual budget process, from kick-off to post-approval. Build the Broadway Series budget. Build the Third-Party Rental budget. Oversee departmental budget development, working with other Finance staff who support each department. Oversee the payroll module build, working with the Payroll Specialist. Build the three-year forecast. Load the proposed budget into NetSuite and produce reports for the Board’s review. Prepare budget materials for executives, the Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors. After Board approval, load the approved budget into NetSuite, prepare a final budget Excel file for each department, working with other Finance staff who support each department. Prepare and deliver a presentation to each department head individually, and to the full-time staff en masse.
- Long-Term and Monthly Forecasting: In addition to the three-year forecast for the budget, develop other long-term forecasts for existing business activities or for potential new activities. For monthly financial reports to the Board in June - October, update the end-of-FY forecast in NetSuite.
- Key Performance Indicator Tracking and Insights: Review and analyze KPIs, recommend new KPIs, create and maintain stat accounts in the financial system. Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of stat account data.
- Ad Hoc Analyses as requested: for example, analyses of staffing proposals, organizational structure, and budget sustainability.
- Data Visualizations, Analyses, and Ad Hoc Reporting: Develop a strategy and approach for data visualizations and analyses, review it with Finance management, and implement it. Included should be a prompt review and analysis of Broadway and Third-Party rental settlements and preparation of a summary and insights to inform budgeting and forecasting.
- Fixed Assets and Capital Projects: Administer the capitalization policy, record fixed asset values, determine the useful life of assets, calculate and record depreciation, and prepare the depreciation budget. Monitor capital spending, review and analyze variances from the capital budget, and assist Production Facilities as needed with tracking.
- Department Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for one or more departments. Work with assigned department(s) to review monthly revenues and expenditures, prepare budgets and forecasts, and answer any finance and accounting questions.
- Monthly and Annual Close: Support the monthly and annual close processes by completing all activities on time and accurately, and providing documentation and schedules as needed. Strictly adhere to deadlines.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field, plus three (3) years of relevant experience in finance and/or accounting. This requirement may be met by a combination of education and experience for at least seven (7) years total, provided the candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial principles and practices, particularly in budgeting, forecasting, and capital asset management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of vlookup, pivot tables, and data manipulation with multiple file formats.
- Demonstrated expertise in analysis and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated success in prioritizing tasks, managing workload efficiently, and meeting deadlines to achieve organizational goals.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated success in working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Access to consistent method of transport to/from the Music Hall at Fair Park and other designated work locations (venues, off-site event/meeting sites, etc.)
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field.
- Proficient in Oracle NetSuite.
- Proficient in NetSuite Planning and Budgeting.
- Demonstrated experience with both nonprofit 501(c)(3) accounting as well as traditional business accounting.
- Demonstrated appreciation of musical theatre or the performing arts in general.
