Responsibilities
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining a log of all of the journal entries and preparing the majority of the journal entries in the general ledger. Responsible for analyzing appropriate balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, bill pay functions, and preparing bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, as well as check processing when needed. The Accountant will maintain several ad hoc spreadsheets.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent.
2. Two (2) to five (5) years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
3. Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Proficient in business software applications, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
5. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally; must have proven ability to maintain high confidentiality.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Experience working within accounting software such as Sage and/or QuickBooks. Sage is highly preferred.
2. Previous experience within a family office setting, real estate, investment and/or wealth management institution.
3. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure.

Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $$70,304.00 to $99,590.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
