    JOB GOAL:
    To provide the necessary clerical responsibilities required for the administration of the school district that will assure the smooth, efficient operation of the transportation, maintenance, facilities, and land management departments.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Perform all clerical duties for the departments.  (e.g. typing, filing, answering the telephone, preparing correspondence, etc.)
    • Process work orders, time sheets, and prepare reports.
    • Reconcile bank statements monthly.
    • Record all local, state, and federal revenue.
    • Manage and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
    • Organize and distribute forms, paperwork, and reports to appropriate entities as required.
    • Enters properly approved requisitions.  Obtains quotes on a variety of supplies and equipment.  Communicates with vendors concerning the departments' purchase orders, receives supplies and verifies them against purchase orders.
    • Schedule appointments, interviews, and conferences.
    • Maintain effective rapport.  Welcome all visitors and handle their requests or refer them to appropriate personnel.
    • Performs other duties as may be directed by the supevisor.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Skill in using computers and various software programs. ( e.g. EXCEL, Microsoft WORD, etc.)
    • Skill in oral communication
    • Skill in operating general office machines.  (e.g. Computers, Printers, Copiers, etc.)
    • Ability to prepare correspondence, memeorandums, forms, requisitions, and reports using a personal computer.
    • Abilityto compile pertinent dat and prepare various required state and local reports.
    • Ability to set up and maintain accurate, up-to-date physical and computerized filing systems.
    • Ability to attend to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the general public.
    RESPONSIBLE TO:  Director of Human Resources
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Associate's Degree preferred.  Proficiency in keyboarding and file maintenance skills.  Computer skills that include:  developing and utilizing spreadsheets, proficiency in word processing, and understanding and utilizing databases.
    EMPLOYMENT:  12 Months 
    EMPLOYMENT STATUS:  Non-certified Staff
